This is a short-day course in Bristol (you come to us).

A dynamic and interactive short-day for those supporting or managing staff. Explore definitions and models to inform possible approaches and share ideas on integrating reflective practice into all aspects of service delivery.

Through discussion, observation and practising a number of creative tools, participants will develop confidence and leave better equipped to facilitate reflective practice and to support others in doing so.

    Available for teams in-house (we come to you).

    Also currently available (online for individuals) and (online for teams).

    Course aims

    Develop and refresh understanding of the concept of and commitment to facilitating reflective practice in the workplace – for self and others

    Explore fresh perspectives, creativity and sharing of ideas relating to reflective practice

    Course objectives

    By the end of the course participants will have had opportunities to:

    • Become familiar with 4 ‘models’ or approaches to reflective practice; and select one of these to apply to a recent/current situation in their workplace
    • ‘Have a go’ on the day, to gain insight into 5 ideas/techniques used in undertaking reflective practice. (For those that wish to there is the option to facilitate one activity)
    • Become equipped with a standard set of prompt questions that can be used in all situations
    • Consider some deeper questions that can help to widen thinking and offer new perspectives
    • Reflect on their own commitment to ‘reflective practice’; and notice their preferred styles/approaches and practice
    • Consider their role and possible use of this learning in their respective workplaces/settings

    All courses take place at accessible venues in Bristol.

    If for any reason the course cannot be delivered face-to-face, we will take a flexible and responsive approach to keep people learning – which will include delivering the training on the same day as a live interactive online session, or transferring bookings to the next available dates.
