This is a unique course for those ready to develop their leadership and management skills. The course is fun and interactive, using realistic exercises to support learning
Course objectives
By the end of the course, you will have had opportunities to:
- Gain insight into the difference between managing and leading
- Have an understanding of the different leadership styles, reflecting on your own leadership style
- Practice a variety of tools and techniques which will enable you to develop your leadership skills and to effectively lead your team and services
- Explore techniques in managing people inclusively
- Discuss psychological safety and how we can create this within teams
- Review reactive, proactive and reflective practices
- Identify what makes an effective team and the challenges and opportunities within your own team
- Reflect on giving and receiving feedback
- Practice coaching skills using real work examples and challenges

All courses take place at accessible venues in Bristol.
If for any reason the course cannot be delivered face-to-face, we will take a flexible and responsive approach to keep people learning – which will include delivering the training on the same day as a live interactive online session, or transferring bookings to the next available dates.
