Exploring the differences between Acute Stress Disorder, PTSD and Complex PTSD, the course develops understanding of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE’s) and explains the neurological, physiological and psychological impact of complex trauma.
Moving from initial interventions to help individuals process emotional responses without revisiting traumatic memories, you’ll learn a set of practical interventions to change key symptoms of Complex PTSD through grounding, reducing intrusive memories and flashbacks, overcoming avoidance and effective management of nightmares.
