MHFA Refresher

This four-hour course updates you as a Mental Health First Aider®. Renew skills, update knowledge and gain access to three years of MHFAider® support and benefits.
This is a half day in-house course (we come to you).
Have you attended Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training 3 or more years ago?
Is it time to update your knowledge and skills?
Mental Health First Aid England recommend that just like physical first aid, MHFAiders® should attend a Refresher course every three years.
This course updates you as a Mental Health First Aider®. Participants receive:
- a digital manual and ongoing learning events through an Online Learning Hub
- access to resources for post-training support via the MHFAider® support app
- a certificate from MHFA England that will last for 3yrs
Please note that the Mental Health Health First Aid (MHFA) Refresher is only for people who have completed either the two-day Mental Health First Aid or an Armed Forces MFHA course.
This training is available for individual staff members on our open programme in Bristol (you come to us).
Course aims
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches people how to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue
Course objectives
By the end of this short-day participants will have opportunities to:
- Refresh and renew skills
- Update knowledge of mental health support
- Practice applying the Mental Health First Aid action plan
- Gain access to three years of MHFAider® Support and Benefits
