Controlled drinking programme
Develop a complete programme to support people with mild to moderate symptoms of alcohol dependence to achieve sustainable controlled drinking habits.
This is a 1 or 2 day in-house course (we come to you).
This course offers participants a complete skills set from assessment to completion in a structured drinking treatment programme supported by considerable clinical evidence. Participants will be introduced to a clear assessment tool to identify and offer feedback to clients on their likelihood to sustain controlled drinking.
Based on progression on the programme, the course offers clear goal setting for both daily drinking and special occasion drinking, provides a range of moderation skills to support clients to stay within the optimal window of alcohol consumption, alongside tools to monitor progress and review goals.
Additional skills are taught to address typical reasons for over drinking alongside more specialised interventions for complex over-drinking.
Also available as a 1 day in-house course (we come to you).

"Really enjoyed the course, found it very useful and Phil was a fantastic trainer, clear and very knowledgeable. How to use controlled drinking with clients. How to use units and blood alcohol content. Gained lots more knowledge. Great two days. Thank you."
"A variety of essential learning to develop practice in my role as an alcohol practitioner. Combining research, analytical and practical methods of learning worked extremely well to support this subject area. Excellent. Highly recommended."
"I have learnt how to support a client who has expressed interest in controlled drinking and how to recognise if and when someone is ready. Great training and very interesting. Phil is a really good trainer and makes you feel comfortable when sharing your knowledge."
