Introduction to coaching skills
Develop key skills and use practical tools to develop confidence to apply coaching skills effectively with service users, peers or as a manager.
This is a 1 day in-house course (we come to you).
This interactive training explores the foundations, the role of self-awareness and psychological safety in coaching.
Participants will learn what coaching is (and isn’t), develop key skills, use practical tools and understand how to build a coaching culture.
With guided practice and reflection, strengthen your confidence to apply coaching effectively with service users, peers or as a manager.
This training is available for individual staff members on our open programme in Bristol (you come to us).

Course objectives
By the end of the course, you will have had opportunities to:
- Gain insight into what coaching is and what it is not
- Understanding of how we work and how this impacts us in coaching
- Explore and practise coaching foundation skills
- Explore what is a coaching culture
- Practise a variety of tools and techniques to enable you to develop your coaching skills
