We will deliver the training to smaller groups and/or in larger rooms. We have been working closely with venues to ensure we have Covid-safety measures and clear guidance in place.
If for any reason the course cannot be delivered face-to-face, we will take a flexible and responsive approach to keep people learning – which will include delivering the training on the same day as a live interactive online session, or transferring bookings to the next available dates.
Trainer: Susan Lawrence
"Everything covered today was very useful. I particularly found the presentation and feedback useful. Great knowledge, able to put people at ease. Great interpersonal skills, good to learn from."
Eileen Francis, Scheme Manager, Places for People, February 2019
"Recognising how everyone can feel the same about speaking with confidence. The internal record, the three P's. Clear, warm and trainer has a good presence. The environment wasn't intimidating at all, which I was worried about."
Sonia Groves, Crisis Worker, Next Link, February 2019
"Lots of great tips; practical exercises very helpful and useful. Great techniques to use."
Marta Slepowronska, BMF Crisis Worker, Next Link, February 2019
"Practical tips and practise on the day. I was worried that the day might tell me things I already know, but the way it was presented and discussed was really useful. I felt much more confident by the end of the day!"
Joey Solazzo, Youth Substance Misuse Worker, Bristol Drugs Project, February 2019
"Everything! Thinking about pace when speaking; gaps between words and saying whole words. Projection - not to assume what others are thinking. Brilliant!"
"Physical techniques for keeping calm – breathing, posture and keeping centred. Having the opportunity to practice speaking to a group. Really useful."
